TRENTON, N.J. -- The Trenton Devils closed out 2008 with a bang, as Dave Leaderer scored a game-winner with 15 seconds left in overtime to salvage a 5-4 win over the Johnstown Chiefs Wednesday evening. Leaderer went coast-to-coast and weaved into the high slot, where he fired a wrist shot through Kris Mayotte for the game-winner. Trenton is now 4-2-1 on New Year’s Eve.

TRENTON, N.J. -- Gerald Coleman had a successful return from injury with 17 saves and the Trenton Devils scored two on the power play to defeat the Elmira Jackals, 4-1, at Sovereign Bank Arena Tuesday night. The Devils struck first as Jeff Prough won the faceoff and passed it to Rob Page, who sent the puck to Matt Radoslovich at the half-wall. Radoslovich flicked in a shot that squirmed past David Shantz at 5:45, his fourth goal of the season.

TRENTON, N.J, -- The Trenton Devils lost to the Cincinnati Cyclones on December 28 upon their return from holiday break. The Devils have a tough road ahead of them for the week with four games, playing the Elmira Jackals on Tuesday, the Johnstown Chiefs on Wednesday, and the Dayton Bombers on Friday and Saturday.

TRENTON, N.J. -- Two-point nights by Jim Henkel and Matt Cohen led the way for the Trenton Devils in their third straight win, a 3-1 decision over the Reading Royals Friday night. Henkel put the Devils on the board 4:35 into the contest with a power play tally. Cohen passed the puck to Henkel who was skating into the crease and easily tapped in the puck past Danny Taylor to give the Devils a 1-0 lead.

TRENTON, N.J. -- The Trenton Devils swept the weekend with a 2-1 win at home over the Johnstown Chiefs on Friday and a 3-2 win on the road against the Elmira Jackals Sunday afternoon. The Devils have three games coming up this week with a pair of home games against the Reading Royals and a road contest to lead into the Christmas break against the Wheeling Nailers.

ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The Trenton Devils were perfect on the penalty kill and got a late tally on the power play to take their first win against the Elmira Jackals this season, a 3-2 decision Sunday afternoon. The Jackals opened the scoring late in the first period on a two-on-one as Josh Aspenlind buried a one-timer pass from Chris Korchinski with 37 seconds left in the period.

TRENTON, N.J. -- Charlie Effinger’s 29 saves and goals by New Jersey natives Matt Radoslovich and Jim Henkel gave the Devils a 2-1 win over the North Division leading Johnstown Chiefs on Friday night. The Devils broke through 7:54 into the game on an odd-man rush started by a Matt Cohen pokecheck. The loose puck went to Dave Leaderer, who led an odd-man rush into the Chiefs zone and dropped a pass to Jeff Prough at the left circle. Prough fired the puck, giving up a rebound to Radoslovich who buried the puck into the net, his third tally of the season.

TRENTON, NJ -- The Trenton Devils split the weekend with a 4-3 win at home over the Florida Everblades on Friday and a 3-2 loss on the road against the Elmira Jackals Saturday night. The Devils have two games coming up this week with a home tilt against the Johnstown Chiefs on Friday night and another road test against Elmira on Sunday.

TRENTON, N.J. -- The Trenton Devils earned a point in their fifth straight game with a 4-3 shootout victory over the Florida Everblades at Sovereign Bank Arena Friday night. Jim Henkel put the Devils on the board 7:02 into the contest with a wrist shot from the right circle while on an odd-man rush. Florida tied the game at 11:28 on a power play goal by Kevin Baker, his team-leading 15th tally of the year. Tyler Burton gave the Devils back the lead with less than four minutes remaining in the first, as he converted on a one-timer for his team-leading eighth goal of the year.

TRENTON, NJ -- The Trenton Devils earned points in all four of their games in the previous week by going 2-0-1-1, their best week of the season. The Devils will get some much needed rest before playing the Florida Everblades at home on Friday and going on the road to play the Elmira Jackals on Saturday.
