I am suprised that there has been no mention of the fact that Sean Fleming of RV has broken the league point record and has over 100 points on the season as of this point. I would think someone would have noticed that seeing that the point record has stood for 10 years and he is the first one to break the 100 point mark.

Great job to Sean Flemming on setting the point record. An incredible thing that will last for some time.

Congratulations.

You're right, in that we have been slow to acknowledge Sean breaking the single season points record. However I was away for 4 days and it was on my list. Fleming once he is finished this season will have all 3 records for scoring, last year he set the records for assists, this year he set it for points and is only 2 goals away from most goals in a season, set last year by Mike Walsh, his linemate. Some people have said Fleming hangs at center ice too much, the games I've seen, I have not noticed that. I'd be interested to hear what opposing players think??

yeah, wow, he must be the next sidney crosby! I've seen sean play many times as well as some of the other league leaders. he is a good player, however, he is definitely not that superior to the other top point leaders in the league that he should be that far ahead. so how did he end up with all these points? well he does cherry pick, that's for sure and he must never come off the ice, since his record shows he has particpated in the large majority of the teams points. However, he is in the upper echelon of penalty minutes in the league, so that's an interesting fact. or maybe it has something to do with the fact that rancoccas team jerseys don't have names on the back making it harder for a ref to determine on their own who actually got the points. originally, when the scoresheet for the williamstown game was entered, sean received an assist for a goal he scored, but we all know that is not possible so it had to be changed -- wonder how that happened in the first place and i wonder how many other times he has gotten credit for someone elses points.

Now don't be a hater... As far as ice time, I'm surprised you missed the roster size of RV, they only have enough for 2 lines, so of course he will play more. I checked on the penaly minutes, and almost half came in 2 games. I'm sure if you asked your coach if he would take him on your team, he would say absolutely!!

Smellyfish, was reading your response and would like to point out that although like you said he couldve had more points then he does he could also have less if the refs missed an assist or something he may have had. Also the same could be said for every other player in the league. You can't just say its only Fleming when its very possible some of the other top scorers couldve had the same thing happen. I also think if i remember correctly that its the home teams job to enter the scores online and the game you mention where he assisted on his own goal RV was the away team at Williamstown so that would fall under their responsibility and wasnt a result of trying to give him more points then he should have, probably just a mistake reading the scoresheet.
