The Washington Township Ice Hockey Club is currently in the process of acceptiing applications for the coaching positions within the club. Anyone interested should send a statement of interest to Club Secetary Alan Cogbill at jac0104@msn.com, and copy me at esarin@comcast.net. ( A copy of the club coaching application will be send to you upon receipt of your statement of interest). Interviews may be conducted. The position of head coach-Varsity will be paid $1,500 for the season, or similiar compensation for having a player on the club.
Applicants must possess a current level 3 or higher CEP certification through USA hockey, and be working on and able to obtain their lever 4 for this coming season.
Applicants will be required to conduct practice 1 night a week, have practice plans completed for each practice, be able to motivate players and provide instruction on basic and advanced skill and knowledge of the game of hockey.
The team will participate in a holiday tournament, and possibly the Flyers Cup.
The team will also play teams from outside the SJHSIHL when possible.
The varsity coach will be required to have a minimium of 2 assistant coaches. Those coaches will be submitted for approval to the WTIHC Board.
The person selected for the position of varsity coach will be required to sign a code of conduct for the club.
Anyone who has previously submitted an application need not reapply.
The deadline for submission is Monday, May 10, 2010.
