Not much change in the top 5 for this week, with Moorestown first, Washington Township second, then Cherokee, Cinnaminson, and Holy Cross tied for third, all fit to be tied last week.

Bart, not one team has jumped out to take control of the division, yet, my suspicion is that by Thanksgiving, one team will emerge as the favorite and another will be right on their tail. Taking a peek at the schedule, I think Moorestown and Township will emerge as the co-favorites, with Cinnaminson right there. But no one knows for sure, but that's my opinion.

Hollydell Hurricanes U18AA coached by Mike Glick is a whos who of high school players.

You have 4 of the current top scorers in Sarin, Bascou, Woyshner and Nicolai. Also from last year former Timber Creek players Schwer and Szabo, from Shawnee Crespo and from Black Horse Pike Privito

Mike, The Hollydell U18AA team has several players from the SJ league, as well as several players from Gloucester Catholic and one from Paul VI. The team is fairly strong. Its web site is http://www.eteamz.com/canesu18aa/ . Nick Bruns is from Paul VI, Joe and Alex Crespo, Joe Usher, Pat McSperran, and John Forsythe from Gloucester Catholic. The Crespos are formerly from Shawnee and Forsythe is formerly from Seneca. Jim Guida and Kevin Kiener are from Holy Cross, Pat Monachs and John Quinlan from Cherokee. Alex Nicoli, Tyler Woyshner, and Chris Carnivale from Moorestown, Tom Szebo and Mike Schwer from Timber Creek, Jim Privito from Black Horse, Eddie Sarin from Washington Township, Bill Bascou from Eastern, Ron Kessler from Kingsway, and Paul Koehn from Rutgers. Privito and Kessler were on last years U18AA team that did well in Silver Sticks. Former Timber Creek Coach Glick has done a great job with the team. They are 6-2 in the league and are 21-6-1 overall.

Even though their schedule has been light so far, it's about time to give Eastern some respect. So my new top 5 are Moorestown, Eastern, Holy Cross, Cinnaminson, and Cherokee.

The play of Township is revealing it to be more of a pretender than a contender. Look for Cinnaminson to to rebound from their earlier loss to Washington Township and solidify their position in the top 5.

The big game this week is Moorestown against Holy Cross, then Moorestown and Eastern.

More next week
