Will Shawnee go undefeated this season?

So far this season, the Renegades have dominated the play on the ice. Will any team end their winning streak?

Re: Will Shawnee go undefeated this season?

Not to put Shawnee down, but the SJHSHL is pretty weak this year.  I mean, I don't think there has EVER been a year before where 8 of the top 10 point leaders were from the same team.

Cherokee may have a chance to defeat Shawnee this Friday if they bring their "A" game, but I don't see it happening.  At this point, only Shawnee can defeat themselves by getting sloppy or too confident.  And come playoffs - its a whole new ballgame.  The last couple of years the team that finished first for the season did not win the championship - something Shawnee is well aware of!

Re: Will Shawnee go undefeated this season?

Shawnee could be beat.  Williamstown put a scare in them for 2 periods and they are an average team at best.  As for the league being weak, I would have to agree.  Most of the better players have left for the Catholic schools that play an NJSIAA schedule.  Others have gone on to play Juniors.  To show how weak the league is....St Augustine Prep beat Shawnee in a scrimmage last night 12-1.

I heard Shawnee lost 8 - 1.  Anyhow, you can't compare public schools to private schools.  Even in the NJSIAA they separate the public & private schools.

Cherokee beat Shawnee 7-6 this past Friday night.  I heard that Shawnee was pretty tired by the 3rd period - probably from recently playing St. Augustine!
