The Latest News From SJIceHockey.com

SJIceHockey.com has been reaching out to the SJHSIHL to provide more information about the league such as updated scores, latest news and events. Also, we are reaching out to the South Jersey musicians so that we can provide another avenue to present your music. So far we have previewed two local bands in our top photos and awards pages. A link to their website gives those bands more exposure as well as supporting SJIceHockey.com.

Did You Know...

The league has decided to change the way to determine a winner if a game ends in a tie after three periods. Last year, if the score was tied after regulation then the game would be over. This year, it has been decided to allow the teams to participate in a shoot out. Each team would select three players and the team with the most goals in the shoot out would come away with the victory. If the results of the shoot out ends in a tie, then the game ends in a tie.

More game photos...

Each article posted usually has the "More game photos" at the bottom. If the article states that more photos of the game are available, the photos will be posted. When they are available, the link will be activated.

Scoring Leaders...

Now that we have moved into a new year, we would like to recognize the scoring leaders from both Tier I and Tier II.

Goal scored leaders were Tyler Graham (Tier II) with 27 goals and Jonathan Ruiz (Tier I) with 26 goals. Total points leader for Ryan Magin (Tier II) with 49 points and Cole Zucker (Tier I) with 39 total points. Assist leaders are Ryan Magin (Tier II) with 32 assists and Brian Miller (Tier I) with 21 total assists.

Team Records...

During the season, players reach individual milestones or break records for their team. In order for SJIceHockey.com to be notified of these significant achievements, we ask the coach from that team to notify us so that we can post that information on our website. So far, we were notified that Jonathan Ruiz (Williamstown) and Alec Nicolai (Moorestown) have both scored their 100th this season. We would like to congratulate each of these players.
