Jordan Myers, Ed Moore and Matt Spillman each scored two goals as Clearview defeated West Deptford 9-1 at Hollydell. In winning their ninth game of the season, equaling their total from last season, Clearview finds itself in sole possession of second place, but has showed a Jekyll and Hyde personality. Handling Shawnee one week in beating them 4-1, then following up by surrendering four goals to Timber Creek in the third period in a 7-5 loss. Tonight they jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period and never looked back. Greg Steers scored the lone West Deptford goal. Joe Tropiano, Bob Campbell and Tim Sullivan scored the other Clearview goals.

TRENTON, N.J. -- Charlie Effinger’s 29 saves and goals by New Jersey natives Matt Radoslovich and Jim Henkel gave the Devils a 2-1 win over the North Division leading Johnstown Chiefs on Friday night. The Devils broke through 7:54 into the game on an odd-man rush started by a Matt Cohen pokecheck. The loose puck went to Dave Leaderer, who led an odd-man rush into the Chiefs zone and dropped a pass to Jeff Prough at the left circle. Prough fired the puck, giving up a rebound to Radoslovich who buried the puck into the net, his third tally of the season.

Brett Liszewski and Mark Lamberto scored two goals each as Timber Creek defeated Clearview 7-5 at Voorhees. Joe Tropiano had a hat trick for Clearview and Jordan Myers scored the other two goals. Coming off a big upset of Shawnee last week, Clearview looked to build on that, but Timber Creek jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game. Myers and Tropiano scored goal late in the period, forty five seconds apart to pull Clearview even at 2-2 after the opening period. Timber Creek fired 20 shots in the middle stanza, but Nick Hoffman stopped all but one, as Nate Price scored a power play goal with just over two minutes remaining in the second period. Clearview would get the equalizer right before the period ended as Myers scored with two seconds left.

Frank Garvey scored a game tying goal with fourteen seconds left in the game as Cherokee rallied to tie Shawnee 4-4 in front of a standing room only crowd at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Cherokee remained undefeated and in first place in the North Division. Shawnee controlled the play in the first period, Cherokee did not register a shot on goal until the nine minute mark and Joe Pezzatto scored a power play goal midway though the period for a 1-0 lead. Late in the period, Pat Casey got the equalizer on a nice set-up from Kyle Kopervas and Garvey, and despite only launching three shots, Cherokee was all even with Shawnee at 1-1 after one.

Mike Nigro scored four goals as Washington Township defeated Moorestown 8-2 in the late game at Voorhees on Monday night. Fellow line mates Matt Fleekop with one goal and four assists and Eddie Sarin with a goal and two assists helped Township win its tenth game of the season. Mike Eni and Alex Hashmi scored the Moorestown goals. Township led 3-1 after the first period on goals by Nigro, Fleekop and Jonathan Paulo, with Paulo scoring in the final seconds for a two goal lead.

The top two scorers in the North Division led Rancocas Valley over Eastern 5-2 in a game played at Voorhees. Sean Fleming scored two goals and had two assists and Mike Walsh scored his league leading 28th goal as Rancocas Valley improved to 9-3 in the North Division. Fleming scored the only goal of the first period thirty seconds into the game, but Eastern goalie Drew Grossman, stopped the remaining 17 shots to keep the Vikings close.

TRENTON, NJ -- The Trenton Devils split the weekend with a 4-3 win at home over the Florida Everblades on Friday and a 3-2 loss on the road against the Elmira Jackals Saturday night. The Devils have two games coming up this week with a home tilt against the Johnstown Chiefs on Friday night and another road test against Elmira on Sunday.
