Charles Wright scored two goals and had one assist to lead Williamstown over West Deptford 6-4 at Hollydell on Friday night. Luke DeHart led West Deptford with two goals. Anthony DeSimone gave West Deptford a 1-0 lead as they capitalized on a two-man advantage midway through the first period. Jimmy Watkins tied the game with a point shot late in the period. Early in the second period Tim McWilliams gave Williamstown a 2-1 lead scoring his second goal of the season.

James Privito had three goals and five assists to lead Black Horse to a 13-3 win over Lower Cape May in Tier 3 action played at Hollydell. Chris Chaffin and Martin Bell each had a hat trick for Black Horse as they climbed into a first place tie with Mainland. It’s always a struggle when you start a program, and Lower Cape May is still in the infant stages of their program, but under the tutelage of Coach Castelucci, who preaches patience, they seem to be on the right track. I’ve seen when games are out of hand on the scoreboard and the team on the wrong end of the score becomes chippy and looking for a fight, the game loses its purpose...

TRENTON, N.J. -- The Trenton Devils earned a point in their fifth straight game with a 4-3 shootout victory over the Florida Everblades at Sovereign Bank Arena Friday night. Jim Henkel put the Devils on the board 7:02 into the contest with a wrist shot from the right circle while on an odd-man rush. Florida tied the game at 11:28 on a power play goal by Kevin Baker, his team-leading 15th tally of the year. Tyler Burton gave the Devils back the lead with less than four minutes remaining in the first, as he converted on a one-timer for his team-leading eighth goal of the year.

Drew Woods snapped a 2-2 game by scoring early in the third period to help lead Eastern over Lenape 7-3 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. After watching Lenape come back from a 2-0 deficit, the Vikings took control in the third period scoring five times and with the win move into third place in the South. Woods also set-up the fourth goal as he dove to keep the puck in at the point and his shot was deflected by Josh Weinberg to give Eastern a 4-2 lead at the twelve minute mark. Billy Bascou put the Vikings ahead at 5-2 seconds later batting home a loose puck in the slot.

Tyler Griffis got his first start of the season against Holy Cross and allowed only one goal as Moorestown defeated Holy Cross 6-1 in action played at the Igloo. Michael Eni and Alec Nicolai each scored two goals to lead the attack. Moorestown jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period on goals by Eni, Nicolai and Shane Brennan. After a scoreless second period, Eni scored early in the third period and the lead grew to 4-0. Mike Lukis scored on the power play for Holy Cross at the nine minute mark to ruin the shutout to make it 4-1. Goals by David Goldblatt and Nicolai less than one minute apart iced the game for Moorestown.

TRENTON, NJ -- The Trenton Devils earned points in all four of their games in the previous week by going 2-0-1-1, their best week of the season. The Devils will get some much needed rest before playing the Florida Everblades at home on Friday and going on the road to play the Elmira Jackals on Saturday.

Tyler Burton’s hat trick goal with 5:46 left in regulation catapulted the Trenton Devils to a come-from-behind 7-6 win against the hottest team in the ECHL, the Florida Everblades. Burton knocked in a rebound from a Dan Eves shot to give the Devils their only lead of the game, which proved to be the most important one. It was Burton’s first career hat trick.
