A third period comeback by the Dayton Bombers gave them a 4-3 victory Friday night against the Trenton Devils at Sovereign Bank Arena. The Bombers scored three unanswered goals, including two by Mike McLean and a game-winner by Justin Bowers with 1:36 left in regulation to snap their three-game losing streak. Eric Castonguay opened the scoring for Trenton with his fourth goal of the season at the 19:06 mark of the first period, giving the Devils a 1-0 lead.

Frank Garvey scored five goals as Cherokee defeated Timber Creek 9-3 at the Igloo. Leading just 2-1 after the first period on goals by Garvey and Mike Ligeikis, Cherokee erupted for five goals in the second period, with three coming late in the period in a span of two minutes. After Garvey scored to make it 3-1, Nate Price got Timber Creek to within 3-2 seconds later.

Rancocas Valley got goals from Eric Bitzer and Andrew Heinz ninety seconds apart late in the third period to snap a 6-6 game and propel RV to an 8-6 win over Clearview. With the win RV remained undefeated and alone atop the North Division. Erik Heritage led Clearview with three goals. The teams traded goals in each of the first two periods with Heritage scoring twice in the opening period and RV getting goals from Sean Fleming and Charlie Lawrence. In the second period, RV got goals from Fleming, Heinz and Peter Heinz sandwiched around Heritages’ third of the game and led 5-3. But Clearview came back to tie as Bob Savastano and Bob Campbell scored and we headed into the final period deadlocked at 5-5.

Eric McDowell scored four times and Sean Joyce added two goals as Cinnaminson defeated Eastern 10-4 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Leading 1-0 midway through the first, Eastern would tie the game at the five minute mark, but then would surrender six unanswered goals to fall behind at 7-1. Brendan Rematta started the onslaught scoring on the power play for a 2-1 lead after one period. Then two goals by McDowell and one by Justin Nugent had the lead to 5-1. Garrett McLaverty scored on a back-hander from the slot to make it 6-1 and McDowell’s fourth goal with less than four minutes left in the second period had Cinnaminson in control at 6-1.

TRENTON, NJ -- The Trenton Devils started the week with a Thursday night win at home against the Johnstown Chiefs, followed up by a shootout loss at Elmira and a loss to the Idaho Steelheads. Trenton will play back-to-back games at Sovereign Bank Arena against the Dayton Bombers this weekend.

Ed Moore scored two goals to lead Clearview by Williamstown 5-2 in a game played on Halloween night at Hollydell. Moore scored the only goal of the first period as his shot went just under the crossbar late in the period. After Moore scored short-handed goal in the first two minutes of the second period to give the View a 2-0 lead, Williamstown cut the lead in half as Mike Quigley scored with Erik Hamilton getting the assist. Bob Campbell restored the two goal lead scoring at the five minute mark with Erik Heritage assisting.

Mike Walsh scored five goals and assisted on two others and Sean Fleming netted a hat trick and three assists to lead Rancocas Valley over West Deptford 10-6 in SJHSIHL action played at Hollydell. Greg Steers led West Deptford with three goals and Luke DeHart added two goals. The teams each scored three goals in the opening period, after Walsh gave RV a 1-0 lead; West Deptford tied the score at 1-1 on a goal by Brian DiIenno. After Steers gave West Deptford a 2-1 lead Andrew Heinz scored a power play goal for RV with a blast from the point to tie the game at 2-2.
