Elliott Schon scored twice and Cherry Hill built a 4-0 lead and hung on to defeat Clearview 4-3 in a battle of the top teams in Tier II. Cherry Hill capitalized on a two-man advantage early in the first period, Joe Papa scored on the front end of the power play and fifteen seconds later Schon would make it 2-0. Despite being outshot 11-10 Cherry Hill took a 2-0 lead into the second period. John Gallen would increase the lead to 3-0 at the seven minute mark and Schon would get his second of the night four minutes later and the lead was 4-0.

Things looked bleak for Clearview, trailing 2-0 midway through the third period but goals by Gavin Reagan with six minutes left and the tying goal by Vincent Marco with four minutes left gave them a 2-2 tie with Mainland in a Tier II contest played at Hollydell. Mainland scored the lone goal of the first period with Ralph Triboletti connecting for his team high 7th goal. After a scoreless second period Mainland would make it 2-0 as Conor Ogborn fresh out of the penalty box would make the play swinging around the net and found James Murray in the slot and he deposited his shot into the net.

Clearview broke open a close game scoring five goals in the second period as they pulled away from Riverfront 8-3 in Tier II action in Voorhees. Thomas Rockey led the offense with a hat trick and Connor Reagan added a goal and four assists as the View remain undefeated at 8-0. Rockey opened the scoring four minutes into the game but Riverfront would tie the game at 1-1 as Anthony Machion scored just over one minute later. The View took the lead for good as Rockey got his second of the night late in the period and Clearview led 2-1 after one period.

Hunter Colella and Jake Nole each scored twice as Clearview skated past Riverfront 6-0 in a Tier II contest played at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel on Friday night. Logan Graham stopped all 21 shots for the View as they improved to 7-0. We were scoreless until the late stages of the first period when Nole would connect for his first of the night and first of the season. Early in the second period Vincent Marco would make it 2-0 connecting on his third of the season.

Clearview began the third period with HLV all square at 2-2, but Thomas Rockey would score three consecutive goals to pace Clearview to a 6-2 win over HLV in Tier II action at Hollydell on Friday night. The win improved the View’s record to 6-0. Brady Swain scored both goals for HLV. After Tyler Brosius gave Clearview a 1-0 lead midway through the first period, Swain would tie the game at 1-1 about four minutes later. Early in the second period HLV would take the lead as Swain would connect for his fourth of the season and second of the night and a 2-1 lead. That lead would last just about one minute as Gregory Busk would get the equalizer, his first of the season with Rockey and Connor Reagan getting the assists.

Thomas Rockey had a hat trick in the first period and Aaron Sphuler and Connor Reagan each scored twice as Clearview defeated PPACS 9-0 on Friday night at Hollydell to remain undefeated at 4-0 on the season. PPACS had some chances early as Clearview committed 3 consecutive penalties in a two minute span of the first period but could not capitalize. After killing the penalties the View got rolling as Rockey and Sphuler scored goals two minutes apart for a 2-0 lead with six minutes left in the period. Sphuler’s blast from the point was all hustle as he made a good play to keep the puck in the zone and his shot found the back of the net.

Logan Graham stopped all 18 shots as Clearview eased by Riverfront 7-0 in Tier II action in Voorhees. Hunter Colella, Gavin Reagan and Konnor Savvas each scored two goals to pace the offense for the View. Steve Lento opened the scoring for the View scoring a power play goal midway through the first period. Late in the period Reagan would make it 2-0 as the View would launce eighteen shots in the first period. Early in the second Savvas would get his first of two on the night and the lead was 3-0. Colella would get his both, just two minutes apart, one of them coming on the power play and the View took a 5-0 lead into the third period.

Connor Saavas scored three times and Gavin Reagan added two goals as Clearview defeated St. Joe’s 6-1 in Friday night action at Hollydell. The View outshot St Joe’s 40-19 for the game. Reagan gave Clearview a 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the game. Saavas would add one late and a 2-0 lead after the first period. Saavas scored his second of the night early in the second period to push the lead to 3-0. St Joe’s would have an opportunity on the power play at the seven minute mark, but Reagan would score short-handed and the lead was now 4-0.

Clearview scored three power play goals on six opportunities and Cherry Hill East was 0-6 with the man advantage as the View defeated Cherry Hill 4-1 in Tier II action played in Voorhees. Aaron Sphuler gave the View a 1-0 lead as his shot from the point found the net, Thomas Rockey and Connor Reagan assisted. At the eight minute mark, Reagan would convert on a feed from Rockey and Steve Lento and the lead was 2-0. With less than five minutes left Hunter Colella would convert on the third power play goal with Gavin Reagan getting the assist and the View took a 3-0 lead into the second period.

Mario Leone scored five goals and Thomas Rockey added three as Clearview defeated PPACS 12-3 in the season opener for both teams at Hollydell on Friday night. Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School or PPACS, applied to join the league over the summer and after much discussion was accepted and at the last minute ended up in Tier 2. The first period was a rough welcome as the View fired 19 shots...and eight found the net. Goalie Erika Nolfi seemed nervous at the start but settled down over the next two periods and played solid. Leone and Rockey scored goals in the first forty seconds as the View led 2-0.
