Todd Minshall scored two goals to lead Shawnee past Williamstown 5-3 in SJHSHL action played at Voorhees on Monday night. Williamstown fell to 0-3 on the season; this was the season opener for Shawnee. Steve Poulin gave Williamstown a 1-0 lead scoring a power play goal midway through the first period. Minshall would tie the game less than three minutes later and we began the second period all even at 1-1. Robert Falese would give Shawnee their first lead scoring in the first two minutes of the period, but Poulin would get his second of the night five minutes later to tie the game at 2-2.

Christian Raymond score three goals, with his third goal snapping a 2-2 game late in the third period as Egg Harbor Township defeated Williamstown 4-2 in their season opener at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday night. Raymond opened the scoring for EHT at the four minute mark with Salvatore Bergeron getting the assist. Justin Fortuna would score an unassisted goal in the final twenty seconds of the period to tie the score at 1-1 after one. Raymond would score the only goal of the second period at the five minute mark with Bergeron and Kyle Gabrielli getting the assists and EHT led 2-1 heading into the third period.

Max Kuznetsov had five goals as the Eastern Vikings pulled away from Williamstown with a five goal second period and defeated the Braves 9-2 in the league opener for both teams at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Conor Riley added two goals and three assists for the Vikings. Kuznetsov opened the scoring in the first five minutes of the game with Luke Riley getting the assist. Justin Fortuna would tie the game at 1-1 for Williamstown in the final two minutes of the period. Brian Zuckerman would score a power play goal in the final twenty five seconds and the Vikings led 2-1.
