After spotting Cherokee II a 1-0 lead after one period, Washington Township used a five goal second period to motor by Cherokee II 7-1 in SJHSIHL action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Michael Buck scored a short-handed goal late in the first period for Cherokee II and despite being out-shot 23-5, the Chiefs led 1-0 thanks to some strong play in nets by James Witkoski.

Joseph Paul had a hat trick, including two third period goals to lead Clearview over previous undefeated Cherokee 4-2 in SJHSIHL action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Coming off a loss to Township on Friday night in a game that did not produce much offense, Clearview would respond with a better effort. Norman Angel picked the perfect time to score his first goal of the season as he gave Clearview a 1-0 lead late in the first. Casey Forte got that one back for Cherokee and we headed into the second period 1-1.

Cole Zucker had three goals and two assists as Cherokee came back from a two goal deficit to defeat Shawnee 7-3 in SJHSIHL action played in front of a packed house at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Both goalies struggled early as the teams combined for 7 goals in the first 18 plus minutes of play. However Cherokee goalie Kelly Farinella shut down the Shawnee attack for the remaining 27 minutes on arguably her biggest game in front of a large crowd.

Cherokee built a 4-0 lead in the second period and hung on for a 5-4 win over Washington Township in SJHSIHL action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Cole Zucker led the Chiefs with two goals; Garrett Quinn led the Township attack with two goals. After Zucker gave Cherokee a 1-0 lead by scoring the only goal of the first period, the Chiefs would score three goals in less than three minutes early into the second period to lead 4-0.

Steve Rudzinski stopped 22 shots and four different players scored as Delran defeated Cherokee II at the Igloo by a 4-1 score. With the win Delran improved to 2-4. Tyler Galisewski scored his first goal of the year late in the first period to give Delran a 1-0 advantage. The second period was penalty filled as the teams combined for 8 penalties. Sean Cascio scored the only goal early in the period to give Delran a 2-0 lead heading into the final period.

Rich Busch, Jake DiStasio and Allan Haynes each scored twice as Williamstown had little problem in defeating Cherokee II 12-1 at Hollydell on Friday night. The game was scoreless for the first eight minutes, and then Williamstown had a 2-man advantage and capitalized as Kyle Parks would put home a rebound of a Brandon Mead shot for a 1-0 lead. Just about one minute later Haynes would get his first of the night on a deflection and it was 2-0.

Trailing 6-1 and seemingly out of the game at the eleven minute mark of the second period, Lenape/RV rallied scoring the next five goals to earn a 6-6 tie with Cherokee II in action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Chris Popp led Lenape/RV with two goals; Tim Ryan had a hat trick for Cherokee II. The first period was all the Chiefs as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead, with Matt Meade opening the scoring five minutes into the game. Ryan would score twice in a three minute span, once on the power play and the lead was 3-0. Tim Schirmer built the lead to 4-0 seconds after Ryan’s goal and Cherokee II seemed to be in control.

Casey Forte scored a power play goal with just over three minutes left in the third period to snap a 3-3 tie and give the Chiefs a 4-3 victory. The win was the third straight for Cherokee. Dylan Bradley led Cherokee with two goals and one assist. Alex Nicolai scored two goals in his first game of the season for Moorestown. The Chiefs scored the only goal of the first period as Bradley and Cole Zucker broke in on a 2-on-1 with Zucker drawing over the defenseman and feeding Bradley for an easy goal. Early in the second period that same combination worked again as Zucker slid a pass from behind the net to Bradley and he buried the shot for a 2-0 lead.
