After spotting Cherokee a 1-0 lead after the first period, Cinnaminson took control of the game offensively, winning 5-3 and out-shooting Cherokee 36-12. Dan Navarra was superb in nets for Cherokee, or the score could have been a lot worse. Leading 1-0 on a goal by Cole Zucker, Cherokee spent most of the second period trying to clear the puck out of their zone, and with the man advantage Cinnaminson tied the game as Taylor Arcani scored his fourth goal of the season midway through the second period.
