Stephen Renshaw stopped 27 shots, including 15 in the second period as Cinnaminson defeated Mainland 2-1 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The win was the third straight for the Pirates. Eric Bell scored the only goal of the first period, his eighth of the season as Cinnaminson led 1-0 after one. Paddy McFadden tied the score at 1-1 late in the second period as Mainland capitalized on the power play. Renshaw had his strongest period in the second as Mainland had 2 other power play opportunities, but Renshaw kept them off the board.

The SJHSIHL has put together an All-Star team consisting of juniors and seniors to participate in an All Star Tourney that will compete against teams from other Pennsylvania high school leagues. Each All Star team will play 2 games and showcase their skills in front of local college coaches as well as a selection committee that will ultimately select 20 skaters and 2-3 goalies to represent Team Philadelphia in America’s Showcase, a tournament that features players from all around the country competing against each other.

Mainland killed off two consecutive power play chances for Cherokee II as they held on for a 4-3 victory. With the win Mainland improved its record to 6-6-4 on the season and is in third place in the Tier II division. Jack Handshaw scored the lone goal of the first period as the teams combined for nine penalties. In the second period both teams capitalized on the power play, each scoring twice with the man advantage. Cherokee II scored two goals in less than one minute early in the period to take a 2-1 lead. After Sam Goldberg tied the score at 1-1, Zack Hendrickson gave Cherokee II a 2-1 lead scoring his fourth goal of the year and his first of two on the night.

Dennis Padick scored all four goals for Mainland, including the game tying goal with forty one seconds left as Mainland and Lenape/RV skated to a 4-4 tie. After the teams traded goals in the first period, Padick scoring early for a 1-0 lead, and Lenape/RV scoring late on a power play goal by Sam Belanger, Mainland took the lead in the second period.

Peter Celnek scored a third period goal for Cinnaminson, just his second of the season as Mainland and Cinnaminson battled to a 1-1 draw in Tier II action played at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel. After a scoreless first period, Mainland took a 1-0 lead as Jack Handshaw would score late in the period. Both net minders would perform well as Stephen Renshaw for Cinnaminson made 33 saves and his counterpart in goal, Pierce Triboletti would stop 29 shots.
