Timber Creek rallied from a 6-2 deficit but could not come up with the tying goal in falling to Kennett 6-5 in Flyers Cup action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Brett Liszewski and Andrew Dougherty led Timber Creek with two goals each; Ryan Dougherty had a hat trick for the winners. Making their first appearance in the Flyers Cup, in their brief history, Timber Creek was a bit in awe and tentative in the first period of play and were caught out of position and that lapse led to a 3-0 advantage for Kennett. Andrew Dougherty got Timber Creek on the board in the final minute as his blast from the point found the net and the lead was cut to 3-1.

Washington Township used a three goal second period to propel itself past Timber Creek 4-0. Mike Stoever stopped all 19 shots as Township moves on in the Double Elimination Tournament, while Timber Creek saw its season come to an end. Having lost to Timber Creek earlier in the playoffs, Township needed a quick start and just under three minutes into the game, Louie DeAngelo scored on the power play to give Township a 1-0 lead. That was the only scoring of the period, although Township did have back to back power plays but failed to capitalize.

Bill Schindler held Washington Township off the score board for 37 minutes as Timber Creek built a 4-0 lead, on their way to a 5-2 win over Washington Township. Coming off a season where they averaged eight goals a game, Township was held scoreless through two periods, mainly through the outstanding play of Schindler, especially in the second period when Township launched 20 shots, but could not solve Schindler.

Timber Creek scored seven power play goals and All-Star defenseman Tom Szabo scored five times to lead Timber Creek over Lenape 10-2 in the opening round of the Double Elimination Playoffs last night at Voorhees. Brett Liszewski added a hat trick for Timber Creek. Timber Creek wasted no time as they scored three goals in the first seven minutes all on the power play, two by Szabo and one by Liszewski to lead 3-0. Andrew Dougherty assisted on all three goals. Ryan Phillips put Lenape on the board at the eight minute mark to cut the lead to 3-1, Liszewski got that back three minutes later with a laser shot along the ice. Gus Propper scored on a breakaway on a nice pass from Kyle Young for Lenape and after one period it was 4-2.

Mark Lamberto scored a natural hat trick as Timber Creek held off Seneca 4-3 at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel. After a scoreless first period in which Seneca goalie Kevin Dazin was strong in nets stopping all 12 shots, Seneca broke out on top in the opening seconds of the middle period as Scott Parker intercepted a pass and broke in all alone and his shot found the net and a 1-0 lead. Lamberto would tie the game one minute later thanks to some hard work by Tom Szabo, who kept the puck in and found Lamberto in front. Moments later that combination worked again as Lamberto shot the puck from his knees as he was tripped up, but he found the net and a 2-1 lead.

Six different players scored for Washington Township as they defeated Timber Creek 7-3 at Hollydell on Friday night. After each teams traded goals in the opening period, Dante Fleagle for Township and Mike Schwer for Timber Creek, Dylan Smith put Township ahead 2-1 midway through the second period. Schwer then tied the game at 2-2 scoring on the power play and netted his third goal of the evening scoring short-handed to give Timber Creek a 3-2 lead. Matt Fleekop tied the game on the same power play and we headed into the third period knotted at 3-3.

Mark Lamberto scored twice in the third period, including the game winner with just over one minute left in the game as Timber Creek rallied to edge Williamstown 6-5 in South Division action at Voorhees. The wild first period include a combined eight goals, with Williamstown scoring five. Brett Liszewski opened the scoring for Timber Creek, but Williamstown would score three goals in a span of two minutes to take a 3-1 lead. Jonathan Ruiz, who would end the night with a hat trick, tied the game at 1-1. Then with Timber Creek short two men, Ruiz scored on the front end of the power play to give Williamstown a 2-1 advantage.

Mike Schwer had four goals and two assists and Bret Liszewski added two goals and one assist as Timber Creek defeated the Eastern Vikings 6-3 at Voorhees. Despite skating with just 10 players Timber Creek maintained constant pressure in the offensive zone and got strong goaltending once again from Bill Schindler. With the win Timber Creek pulled to within one point of second place Clearview, and has played one less game. After a scoreless first period, Justin Sperling gave the Vikings a 1-0 scoring on a breakaway at the ten minute mark of the second period. Ten seconds later however Liszewski tied the game at 1-1 scoring his first of two goals from down low.

Bill Schindler stopped 32 shots, including a breakaway in the final few minutes to preserve a 1-1 tie with Cherry Hill East in a game played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Evan Asroff scored the only goal of the first period to give Cherry Hill East a 1-0 lead. Nate Price scored the Timber Creek goal early in the second period and the game was tied at 1-1. East goalie Joe Salvato played by far his best game of the season allowing just one goal against Timber Creek, a team that averages almost five goals a game.

Tom Szabo scored two goals to lead Timber Creek to a 6-2 win over Williamstown in a game played at Hollydell on Friday night. Timber Creek scored four goals in the opening seven minutes of the game and never looked back. Szabo got things going on the power play in the first two minutes and Kevin Kelly put home a rebound one minute later for a 2-0 advantage. Mark Lamberto put Timber Creek up 3-0 at the nine minute mark and just over one minute later Andrew Dougherty scored his third goal of the season and Timber Creek was in control at 4-0.
