Eric Naccarelli scored two goals as Washington Township defeated Williamstown 6-3 in playoff action at Hollydell on Wednesday night. With the loss the season comes to an end for the Braves, but with just 5 seniors, the Braves should be a force to reckon with next season. Township playing its second game without senior forward Louie DeAngelo, dismissed from the team, had goals from five different players and will play again on Friday night at Hollydell against the winner of Shawnee-Cherokee.

Sean Fleming had five goals and five assists as Rancocas Valley doubled up Williamstown 12-6 in SJHSIHL action played at Hollydell. Jonathan Ruiz led Williamstown scoring four goals, bringing his season total to 30. Ruiz scored the first two goals of the game in the opening four minutes as Williamstown jumped on RV early and led 2-0. RV would then proceed to score nine of the next ten goals to take a commanding 9-3 advantage. Fleming led the charge, as he usually does, scoring two first period goals and setting up Wade Sander and Andrew Heinz as RV led 4-2 after one.

Moorestown scored three consecutive goals in the third period to snap a 3-3 to take a 6-3 lead and hold off the charging Williamstown Braves in winning 6-5 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Chris Carnivale and Tyler Woyshner led Moorestown with two goals each. Allan Haynes had a hat trick for the Braves. Haynes scored two goals in the opening stanza to give Williamstown a 2-1 lead, after Woyshner had scored a power play goal for Moorestown. Carnivale tied the game at 2-2 scoring on the power play at the eight minute mark.

Matt Herbert scored two of his three goals in the third period as Eastern rallied from a 7-6 deficit with five goals in the third period and out-scored Williamstown 11-8 in action played at Hollydell. Williamstown was led by Rich Busch and Jacob DiStasio with two goals each. Williamstown led 2-1 heading into the second period, where both teams scored five goals, with Eastern scoring three consecutive goals with Alec Weinberg, Darren Plotkin and Cameron Dougherty doing the honors and the Vikings led 4-2. Williamstown would take its turn scoring three straight goals as Vince Salvadori, Allan Haynes and Jonathan Ruiz put the Braves up 5-4.

Eddie Sarin had three goals and two assists as Washington Township defeated Williamstown 7-4 at Hollydell on Friday night. With the 5 points Sarin tied the single season scoring record held by Fred Brewer, set in the 2004-05 with 76 points (35g-41a). The opening period was one of the most entertaining periods of the season as both teams had numerous chances, Township had 13 shots and Williamstown 15, but the goalies, Mike Stoever for Township and Troy Altbaum, were at the top of their game. Jonathan Smith finally got things going for Township in the last two minutes of the period putting home a rebound of a shot by Sarin.

Shawnee jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held off a late charge by Williamstown in the 4-3 victory at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Losers of four out of the first five games to start the season Shawnee has battled back to even there record at 8-8-1. Mike Peccini and Kyle Popielarski staked Shawnee to a 2-0 lead after the first period. The lead grew to 3-0 as Ian Smith scored on a short-handed breakaway in the first five minutes of the second period. Anthony Derbyshire got one back on the same power play as Williamstown cut the lead to 3-1.

Joe Carfagno scored three goals and a dominating second period led Cinnaminson over Williamstown 7-3 in SJHSIHL action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The win was the third straight for Cinnaminson. Jonathan Ruiz led Williamstown with two goals. The teams traded goals in the first period as Rich Busch scored for Williamstown and Eric McDowell scored the first of his two goals on the power play. Early in the second period Cinnaminson dominated play early as they kept the puck in the offensive zone in the opening minutes and took the lead as McDowell tallied his second at the thirteen minute mark.

Coming off two straight losses and only averaging two goals in each of those defeats, Williamstown found some offense last night as Jonathan Ruiz scored four goals to lead Williamstown to an 8-5 win over Clearview. Bob Campbell led Clearview with three goals. Rich Busch added two for Williamstown. After spotting Clearview a 1-0 lead on a goal by Rob Savastano eight seconds into the game, Busch tied the score four minutes later poking home a loose puck. Ruiz gave the Braves a 2-1 lead with a blast from the slot and moments later would find the net from the top of the circle.
