Wings of Steel Sled Hockey
Michael Wilson scored four goals and Steve O’Brien played a strong game in nets as the Wings of Steel defeated the Vineland Sled Stars 6-3. With the win the Wings remained unbeaten for the season at 12-0-1 as they go into their holiday break. Vineland controlled most of the play and out-shot the Wings 26-9, but thanks in large part to O’Brien’s solid play in nets the Wings were able to withstand the pressure that Vineland brought.

Michael Wilson netted a hat trick and Isaiah Beck added two goals as the Wings of Steel came back form a two goal deficit to beat the Woodbridge Rangers 5-2 in sled hockey action at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees. With the win the Wings improved to 10-0-1. Woodbridge led 2-0 before the Wings offense got going, Wilson scored two goals seconds apart early in the second period to get the game even at 2-2.
Isaiah Beck scored twice as the Wings came back from a 1-0 deficit to beat the Hammerheads 3-1 in sled hockey action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Saturday. Trailing 1-0 after the first period, Beck tied the game at 1-1 on a great pass from Mike Wilson, who was flat on his back, but managed to find Isaiah all alone in front.
Steve O’Brien stopped all 21 shots as the Virtua Wings of Steel continued their winning ways with a 3-0 victory over the Vineland Sled Stars. Michael Wilson led the Wings with two goals; Isaiah Beck scored the other goal. The Wings scored all the goals in the first period with Wilson scoring just 30 seconds into the contest, on a breakaway. Wilson got his second of the game later in the period and Beck made it 3-0 just minutes later. That was all the Wings needed as O’Brien had his strongest game of the season, making several big saves to keep Vineland off the board.

The Wings were trailing 1-0 but Jesse Beck slid a nice pass to Wilson on a breakaway and he went top shelf to tie the game at 1-1. After Vineland recaptured the lead at 2-1 early in the second period, Wilson would score two goals, one on the power play, to give the Wings a 3-2 lead.
