Joe Tropiano scored three goals and Nick Hoffmann stopped 26 of 28 shots as Clearview defeated Washington Township 4-2 in front of a sell-out crowd at Hollydell in the last regular season game for both teams. In a game that featured three penalty shots and a fighting major handed out to Erik Heritage the rivalry continues between these two schools.
Tropiano scored the only goal of the first period and Clearview led 1-0. The second period the teams traded goals with Eddie Sarin and Mike Nigro scoring for Township and Jordan Myers and Tropiano finding the net for Clearview, which led 3-2 heading into the third period. Tropiano scored a power play goal early in the third period to give Clearview a 4-2 lead, and despite two power play opportunities, Hoffmann shut the door and Clearview coming off a loss to Seneca had upset the leagues top team.
