Washington Township used a three goal second period to propel itself past Timber Creek 4-0. Mike Stoever stopped all 19 shots as Township moves on in the Double Elimination Tournament, while Timber Creek saw its season come to an end. Having lost to Timber Creek earlier in the playoffs, Township needed a quick start and just under three minutes into the game, Louie DeAngelo scored on the power play to give Township a 1-0 lead. That was the only scoring of the period, although Township did have back to back power plays but failed to capitalize.
Eddie Sarin made it 2-0 early in the second period scoring on a backhander with Matt Fleekop and Steve Sailor assisting. Midway through the period Township took advantage of Timber Creek being down 2 men as Mike Nigro scored for a 3-0 lead. Right before the buzzer, with exactly one second left, Fleekop made it 4-0. With enough goals Township was content to check the game away and will move on and face Shawnee on Wednesday night at Voorhees at 8:30.
