After allowing a two goal lead to evaporate, Cinnaminson got a breakaway goal by Sean Joyce in the final three minutes to defeat Williamstown 3-2 in a game played in Voorhees. James Roescher scored both Williamstown goals. Cinnaminson scored the only goal of the first period, on the power play as Eric McDowell converted a pass from Joyce from behind the net. The lead grew to 2-0 as Sean Gault converted once again with the man advantage for Cinnaminson just about two minutes into the second period.
That’s where we stood entering the final period, when Williamstown got on the board early as Roescher put home a rebound to cut the lead to 2-1. Three minutes later Roescher tied the game at 2-2 as his shot went under the crossbar. With both teams missing out on scoring opportunities, Brendan Rematta from right by his own net, hit a flying Joyce in stride at center ice and his goal at the three minute mark gave Cinnaminson the 3-2 advantage. Despite Williamstown having a two-man advantage in the final seconds, goalie Kevin Roth kept them off the scoreboard.
