Evan Smith stopped 22 shots, including 11 in the third period as Shawnee defeated Lenape 3-1 in a SJHSIHL game played at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel on Monday night. With the win Shawnee improved to 3-2 on the season. Danny Pagliuso scored the only goal of the first period as Shawnee took a 1-0 lead. Shawnee controlled much of the play in the second period firing 15 shots against Lenape goaltender Jackson Burns, but only one eluded Burns, and that was a power play goal scored by Bryan Etter, his first of the season.

Timmy Pagliuso gave Shawnee a 3-0 lead scoring early in the third period and Smith would face some tough shots as Lenape had two power play opportunities but could not score against Smith. With just one minute remaining, Matt Cloud would put Lenape on the board, ruining the shutout, but that was how we ended with Shawnee skating away with a 3-1 victory.
