Taylor Olson scored a natural hat trick and Bob Campbell broke a 3-3 tie in the games final two minutes as Clearview defeated Holy Cross 4-3 at Hollydell. Clearview never led until Campbell’s goal as Holly Cross played them tough throughout the game. Steven Petitte led Holy Cross with two goals. Holy Cross led 1-0 just six minutes into the game as Charles Quigley scored his sixth goal of the season. Olson tied the score at 1-1 later in the period.

Petitte scored his 15th goal of the season in the second period to give Holy Cross a 2-1 lead, but Olson responded as his shot from right up the middle found the net and tied the game at 2-2. Petitte snapped the tie with a shot just under the crossbar with just under five minutes left. But Olson continued his torrid pace as he has tied the score with just about three minutes left in the game. Olson has now scored 11 goals in eight games for Clearview.

That set the stage for Campbell as he broke down the left side and used his quickness to generate a shot that found the net and Clearview had its first lead at 4-3 with just over two minutes remaining in the game. Dan Flaherty did not allow any more goals and Clearview escaped.
