Jonathan Ruiz and Pat Curiale each scored two goals as the North defeated the South 9-2 in the Junior/Senior Showcase game played at Hollydell. After spotting the South a 1-0 lead on a goal by Eric Simone just over one minute into the game the North would score the next eight goals. Kyle Parks began the streak as he put home a pass from Ruiz right along the side of the net, Jason Spieker also assisted. That line created a lot of scoring opportunities all night. Curiale, playing with teammate Garrett Quinn would give the South the lead for good at the eight minute mark as he broke in with Quinn on a 2-on-1. Adam Seitz scored an unassisted goal thirty seconds later and the lead was 3-1.

Jeff Steinmann scored a short-handed goal with just over two minutes left in the game as Delran came back from a 3-1 deficit to tie Holy Cross 3-3 in action played at the Igloo in Mt Laurel. Holy Cross led 2-0 after the opening period on goals by Bradley Peditto and Brian Clegg, with Clegg’s coming right at the buzzer. Nick Taylor scored a power play goal with four minutes left in then second period to bring Delran to within 2-1.

Jake DiStasio had a hat trick and Kyle Parks had a goal and three assists as Williamstown used an eight goal second period to defeat Holy Cross 8-1 on Friday night in SJHSIHL action at Hollydell. Brian Clegg scored the lone goal fro Holy Cross as they led 1-0 after the first period. It was the play of Parks that sparked the Braves in the second period as he set-up three straight goals for the Braves in a two minute span early in the period.

Washington Township had nine different players score a goal, setting a team record, as they had little trouble in defeating Holy Cross 9-1 at the Igloo on Monday night. Shane Moffett, Mike Lorence and Garrett Quinn scored goals in the first period to stake Township to a 3-0 lead. Township would blow open the game in the second period scoring five goals in an eight minute span.

Shawnee scored eight goals in the second period as they routed Holy Cross 10-0 in SJHSIHL action played at the Igloo on Monday night. Jesse Pagliuso and Lawrence Walker each had a hat trick to pace the offensive attack. Vinny Misiewicz added two goals for the Renegades. The lead was just 2-0 after the first period as Michael Peccini and Walker both found the net in the opening period.

Jordan Kreifels scored three goals to lead Lenape/RV to a 5-3 win over Holy Cross in SJHSIHL action played at the Igloo on Friday night. After a scoreless first period, Sam Belanger scored his fourth goal of the season to give Lenape/RV a 1-0 lead early in the second period. Kreifels made it 2-0 midway through the period scoring an unassisted goal. Holy Cross would bounce back to score two goals in the final six minutes as Brian Clegg notched his second of the season and Patrick Rizzo tied the score right before the horn sounded and we entered the third period tied at 2-2.

Moorestown scored four goals in the third period, including three in the final thirty-eight seconds as they defeated Holy Cross 8-2 in Tier 1 action at Hollydell. Mike Katz and Matt Olbrich led Moorestown with two goals each. Patrick Rizzo scored both Holy Cross goals. Both teams waited until the last minute of the first period to get on the scoreboard, with Holy Cross scoring first, short-handed as Rizzo was sent in by Brian Clegg and he converted to make it 1-0. Towards the end of the period Olbrich got that one back as he scored down low on the man advantage and we headed into the second period even at 1-1.
