Playing without Casey Forte and Cole Zucker, Cherokee managed a 6-0 win over Black Horse in a cross-over game played at Hollydell. Boomer Miller scored his first two goals of the season to lead the Cherokee attack. Black Horse played mostly under-classmen and kept the game competitive. With the win the Chiefs improved to 2-0 and will face Washington Township on Monday night at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. After Miller made it 2-0 midway through the first period Dave Mazzilli scored on a breakaway to put the Chiefs up 3-0 after the first period.

Alex Greenblatt scored his first goal of the season at the seven minute mark of the second period and the lead was 4-0. Miller would add his second of the night on a nice pass from his brother Brian less than one minute later and the score was 5-0 after two periods. Michael Buck scored the last goal for Cherokee in the third period.
