Cole Zucker and Brian and Boomer Miller scored two goals each as Cherokee defeated Black Horse 8-0 in a battle between Tier I and Tier II teams. Tim Papagno stopped all 15 shots in picking up his second straight shutout. Aaron Huffnagle opened the scoring in the game’s first five minutes scoring an unassisted goal. Boomer Miller made it 2-0 just about five minutes later with brother Brian getting the assist.

Goals by Zucker and two by Brian Miller in a five minute span of the second period broke open the game at 5-0. Power play goals by Zucker and Boomer Miller in the third period along with the first goal of the season by Anthony Fenu closed out the scoring. Both teams were chippy in the final period as a total of 13 penalties were called.
