Six different players scored for Washington Township as they defeated Pennsbury 6-0 in a crossover game played at Hollydell on Wednesday night. Playing in the Suburban league, Pennsbury made the journey to Hollydell to battle Township as both teams try and improve their resume as we approach Flyers Cup.

On this night Township just wore down Pennsbury, Jason Smith opened the scoring midway through the first period on a nice feed from Chris Cozzan. Nick Urban made it 2-0 for Township as he converted a pass from Austin Haslett from behind the net. Late in the second period Haslett banged home a rebound off a shot by Shane Moffatt and the lead was 3-0.

Tyler Benton ripped home a shot in the final two minutes and the advantage was 4-0. Goals by Eric Dale and Matteo Jordan, short-handed, closed out the scoring. Zack Burkhardt stopped all 15 shots, in making his second straight start in goal.
