Casey Forte scored a goal midway through the third period as Cherokee tied Moorestown 2-2 in action played in Voorhees. Coming off an 8-4 loss one week ago to Moorestown, where they surrendered 41 shots, tonight they limited Moorestown to just 14. Defense is what will win playoff games and tonight both teams played solid defense.

Boomer Miller scored the only goal of the first period as Cherokee led 1-0. Moorestown took the lead in the second period capitalizing twice on the man advantage. First Will Sulpizio scored his league leading 25th goal of the season to tie the score at 1-1. Liam Ridge gave Moorestown a 2-1 leading scoring the second power play goal with about three minutes left in the second period. Cherokee got the equalizer with about six minutes left with Forte getting the tying goal on an assist from Dylan Bradley. Oddly enough this was the last regular season game for Moorestown and will need to stay sharp as they have about 13 days off.
