Casey Forte scored four goals as Cherokee defeated Shawnee 7-0 in Tier I action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday night. Boomer Miller opened the scoring in the first minute of the game lifting a shot on the short side with Jake Toran and Austin Mauger getting the assists. Forte would score the next three goals, his first at the five minute mark of the period with Cole Zucker and Brian Miller getting the helpers.

Early in the second period Cherokee would capitalize on the power play as Forte deposited his second of the night for a 3-0 advantage. Just about five minutes later Forte put home a rebound of a shot by Brett Jacobs and it was 4-0. Meanwhile Cherokee goalie Tim Papagno in improving his record to 7-1 lowered his GAA to 1.38.

John Cascio built the lead to 5-0 as his slap shot found the long side with about six minutes left in the period. John Martino would net his 12th goal of the season and Forte would add his fourth of the night to close out the scoring. Cherokee will close out the regular season with a game against Cinnaminson on Friday at Voorhees.
