Tyler Richardson scored twice as Clearview defeated Black Horse 5-2 in a Tier 2 playoff game at Voorhees on Friday night. Missing captain and team leader Mike Vulpio, Clearview needed everyone to step-up tonight and everyone contributed. Kody Basile put Clearview up 1-0 scoring a power play goal just five minutes into the game, with Ryan and Eric Lauk getting the assists. Black Horse would tie the game about five minutes later, scoring their goal on the power play as James Malseed got the goal with Nick Kilcourse and Brandon Graham getting the helpers.

Richardson scored what would prove to be the game winner late in the period to give Clearview a 2-1 lead heading into the second period. Austin Kohler made it 3-1 at the four minute mark, and with both teams taking a total of nine penalties in the period the penalty kill teams got plenty of action. Black Horse would capitalize on one power play as Anthony Beebe would bring his team to within 3-2 at the seven minute mark. Two early goals by Clearview in the third period, Richardson’s second of the night on the power play made it 4-2 and Matt Bishop just about two minutes later gave Clearview a 5-2 lead. Max Ramos and the defense would shut down Black Horse the rest of the period.
