Doug Sanders scored twice as Washington Township pulled away from Shawnee 5-0 and advanced in the playoffs and will meet Moorestown with a chance to get back to the finals. Township had 5 power play chances in the first period; twice they had a 2 man advantage and would only capitalize once as Sanders scored at the seven minute mark. Shawnee goalie Gavin Hambrose saved his best performance for tonight as Township launched 44 shots on net.
Two goals eighteen seconds apart in the second period, one by Billy Wharton and one by Austin Haslett had Township leading 3-0 and starting to take control. Shane Moffett would score ninety seconds later and the lead was 4-0 after two. Sanders added his second of the night at the eight minute mark of the third and with that Township would close out the 5-0 win.
