Colin Valentine made his Washington Township debut in a big way scoring four goals and adding three assists and Austin Haslet added four goals and three assists as Washington Township rolled past Kingsway 18-0 at Hollydell on Friday night. Zach Burkhardt coming off his best performance of the season against Cherokee got the start in goal and after facing 47 shots on Monday, would have the period off and did not see one shot on net.

His team would score eight in the period on a season high 31 shots and after one the game was 8-0. Kingsway would manage 2 shots in the second period and Township would add 10 more goals, including three by Shane Moffatt. Defenseman Eric Sailor also joined in the scoring as he notched his first of the season. Eric is now ahead of last year’s pace, as he didn’t get his first until game 18. Also scoring for Township were, James Pollock and Riley Griffith with two goals and one each for Chris Cozzan and Brandon Balsalma.

Notes: Would really like to see the league step in and make an adjustment with the Kingsway team, they should not be playing in Tier I. There are a few teams that could step in and take their spot, I am sure it would be an issue scheduling wise, but it can’t be much fun for these kids to lose each night, they have given up 80 goals in 6 games.
