After a slow start and trailing 2-0, St Joe’s used a five goal third period to pull away from Middle Township and win going away at 8-3. Nick Frangos, Trevor Rucci and Daniel MacDuff each scored two goals to lead the attack. Middle Township scored the only goal of the first period with Josh Mander getting his 14th of the season. Tom DeMarco made it 2-0 early in the second period as he scored a short-handed goal in the first minute. Rucci would match that with his own short-handed goal about five minutes later to cut the lead to 2-1.

Moments later on the power play Rucci got the tying goal with Paul Petrongolo getting the assist. Next up it was Frangos’ turn to score two in a row as he gave St Joe’s the lead for good late in the period. And made it 4-2 early in the third period as St Joe’s was starting to take control after a slow start. Petrongolo scored the second short-handed goal for St Joe’s at the eleven minute mark and the lead was 5-2. Kenny Weightman got that one back for Middle Township moments later to make it 5-3, but then MacDuff would score two goals thirty seconds apart to push the lead to 7-3. Alex Eberly added a power play goal late in the period to close out the scoring.
