Andrew DeBellis snapped a 1-1 game with his first goal in the playoffs as Cinnaminson defeated Middle Township 3-1 in Tier II playoff action and stayed alive with the victory. Next up is a date with Mainland in Atlantic City on Friday night, with the winner advancing to the championship game against St Joe’s. Middle Township scored the only goal of the first period to lead 1-0 as Dominic Donoflio notched his second of the playoffs. Senior forward Eric Bell continued his strong play for Cinnaminson as he tied the game at 1-1 at the five minute mark of the second period with Nevin Goebel getting the assist.

Early in the third period DeBellis would get the game winner as the senior forward picked the perfect time to notch his first goal of the season, missing several games due to injury. DeBellis’ goal with assists going to Peter Selnek and Chris Pawlikowski gave Cinnaminson the lead for good with Tyler Granoth adding an insurance goal later in the period.

Notes: In three meetings against Mainland this year Cinnaminson was 0-2-1, with their best game being a 3-3 tie on January 27th. That night they rallied from a two goal deficit late in the third period, scoring some early goals would go a long way to help the Pirates.
