Colin Donahue and Cole Blackley each scored two goals as Lower Cape May defeated EEW 5-2 IN THE JVB2 Championship game played at the Voorhees Skate Zone. The win capped a season where Lower Cape May finished first during the regular season and completed the task by winning the Championship. Blackley gave Lower Cape a 1-0 lead in the last four minutes of the first period. EEW would respond scoring twice in a span of thirty seconds as Hayden Zuber would get the equalizer and then Steve Brodzik would give the EEW the 2-1 lead after one period.

The second period was all Lower Cape as they would score three unanswered goal to take a 4-2 lead. First in the opening minute Donahue got the tying goal with Ryan Hill assisting. Then Hill would give Lower Cape a 3-1 lead about ten minutes later. Blackley would add a short-handed goal with less than three minutes left in the period for a two goal lead heading into the final period. Offensively Lower Cape kept the pressure on as they out-shot the EEW 35-19. Donohue would add a second short-handed goal into an empty net in the final seconds. Congratulations to Coach Hughes and his staff on their victory.
