Salesianum scored with six minutes remaining in overtime to defeat Washington Township 4-3 and advance to the semi-finals in the first annual New Jersey/DE Flyers Cup at the Pond in Delaware. Township got goals from Justin Kammerer and Colin Valentine to take a 2-0 early into the second period. Salesianum scored a power play goal to cut the lead to 2-1 as JP Sawyer connected at the nine minute mark.

Late in the period Salesianum got the equalizer, but Jimmy Pollock responded with just over one minute left to give Township a 3-2 lead heading into the third period. Midway through the period Salesianum got the equalizer and despite some good opportunities Township would be held scoreless the rest of the game. Salesianum will await the winner of the Moorestown-Clearview game.
