Balanced scoring was a strong point of Moorestown all season and last night was no exception as six different players scored to lead them to a 6-1 win over Clearview in Flyers Cup action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. After scoring a goal just three minutes into the contest, David Shore picked a great time to get his first goal of the season as he made it 2-0 at the four minute mark. Early in the second period Nicholas Karelfors-Murphy deflected a pass from Alex Crowl for a 3-0 lead. Moorestown would make it 4-0 later in the period as Chris DeRose broke in with Mike Katz and DeRose scored and chased starter Mike Hughes in nets for Clearview.
Later in the period McCollough deflected a shot by Eric Schwartz for a 5-0 lead. Clearview got on the board scoring a power play as Eric Lauk made it 5-1 with just over six minutes remaining. Schwartz would score on a breakaway to ice the game at 6-1.
Notes: Next up in the semis for Moorestown is a date with Salesianum at the Skate Zone on Monday night.
