Tyler Richardson scored with one second left on the clock as Clearview came back and tied Mainland 2-2 in action at the Skate Zone on Monday evening. After a scoreless first period, Mainland got the lone goal of the second period with McKenzie Restle notching his second goal of the season for a 1-0 Mainland lead. Mike Cullen tied the score at 1-1 five minutes into the third period with Erik Lauk and Anthony Dellerose getting the assists.

Matthew Grosmick scored three goals and Colin Valentine added two as Washington Township defeated River Front 8-3 in SJHSIHL action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Leading 2-0 after one period on goals by Grosmick and Valentine, Township took a penalty early in the second period and River front capitalized as Rocco Demas scored on the power play to cut the deficit to 2-1.Valentine responded just nineteen seconds later as he scored a nice goal down low to put Township up 3-1.

Bryan Popiolek and Rich Brusco scored third period goals to help Black Horse rally from a two goal deficit and tie St Joe’s 4-4 in a late game at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Black Horse led 2-0 after the first period on goals by John Kennedy and Kevin O’neill, both coming in the first two minutes of the game. St Joe’s did all their scoring in the second period as Anthony Lovell scored twice and Trevor Rucci, short-handed and Nick Frangos late in the period and St Joe’s led 4-2 after two periods.

Dominic Romeo stopped 17 shots as Moorestown defeated Washington Township 3-0 in Tier I action played at Hollydell on Friday night. Unable to generate any offense after scoring 18 in their previous game, Township got a solid performance from Zachary Burkhardt as he stopped 32 of the shots he faced. Jack McCullough scores the only goal of the first period notching his fourth of the season with Mike Katz getting the assist.

Luke Hussey scored his second goal of the night with just thirty eight seconds left to snap a 3-3 game and give EEW a thrilling 4-3 win over River front in Tier II action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Hussey scored his first goal in the opening minute of the game as the EEW led 1-0. Riverfront did not record a shot on goal until the nine minute mark, but Dylan Richardson made it count as he scored his sixth goal of the season to even the game at 1-1.

St Joe’s would launch 47 shots at Cinnaminson goalie Chris Peters and managed just three goals but it was enough to defeat Cinnaminson 3-2 in a game played in Voorhees on Monday night. Daniel MacDuff and Anthony Lovell gave St Joe’s a 2-0 lead in the first period. Cinnaminson would get one back late in the period as Eric Bell scored his team high sixth goal to cut the lead to 2-1.

Eric Schwartz scored both goals and Moorestown played a solid game in front of goalie Dominic Romeo to earn a 2-2 tie with Cherokee. Tim Ryan scored the only goal in the opening period as Cherokee led 1-0 after one. Moorestown would take the lead late in the second period as Schwartz would score twice in a two minute span; First Schwartz got the tying goal on a feed from. Boomer Miller would tie the score at 2-2 in the final minute of the period and we would head into the third period deadlocked at 2-2.

Colin Valentine made his Washington Township debut in a big way scoring four goals and adding three assists and Austin Haslet added four goals and three assists as Washington Township rolled past Kingsway 18-0 at Hollydell on Friday night. Zach Burkhardt coming off his best performance of the season against Cherokee got the start in goal and after facing 47 shots on Monday, would have the period off and did not see one shot on net.

I know there is a new television show called the Millers, last night the ice hockey Millers took stage as Boomer Miller had three goals and one assist and Brian Miller had a goal and three assists as Cherokee defeated Washington Township 4-1 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The bigger story might have been the play of Township goalie Zach Burkhardt, who turned in his best performance of the season, facing 47 shots and only surrendering 4 goals, two of which came on the power play.

With both teams missing key players, Cherokee struggled early against Black Horse and led only 2-1 with five minutes played in the third period, but the Chiefs exploded for six goals in a span of nine minutes to win going away, 8-1. Tom Janus led the Chiefs with three goals and Tim Ryan added two to pace the offense. Getting her third start in nets for Black Horse, Giana Rifici was solid in nets through two periods giving up goals to Janus in the first and one to Ryan in the second and Cherokee led just 2-0 late in to the second period.
