Five different players scored goals and Kris Burke stopped 19 shots as Washington Township defeated EEW 5-2 in JVA action. Eric Sailor got things going for the Minutemen scoring a goal with five minutes left in the opening period. Braden Hawcroft would tie the score at 1-1 scoring for EEW just over one minute later. Burke kept Township in the game in the first period as EEW had several opportunities on the power play but Burke stood tall. Second period goals by Joe Chandler and a short-handed goal by Jeff Horner put Township on top 3-1 after two periods.
Goals by Josh Coltellaro and Christian Anderson three minutes apart in the third period gave Township a commanding 5-1 lead. EEW would get a late goal by Dominic Fonte on the power play but Burke closed the door the rest of the way.
