Jake Pearlstein had three goals and Cody Charyk added two as Shawnee held off Black Horse 6-5. Charyk scored the only goal of the first period for Shawnee as they led just 1-0, but Pearlstein scored two straight goals in the first three minutes of the second period and the lead was 3-0. Brandon Graham would score two straight for Black Horse to make it 3-2 at the nine minute mark. Pearlstein was awarded a penalty shot one minute later and his third goal of the game had Shawnee up 4-2. Charyk added a power play goal in the final two minutes to give Shawnee a 5-2 lead after two.

Robert Miller would give Shawnee a 6-2 lead with less than seven minutes left in the game, but Black Horse would mount a rally, scoring three goals in a three minute span. First Jake McDonald would score short-handed to cut it to 6-3, and then Kyle Ringheiser and Zachary Kelly would score one minute apart to cut the lead to 6-5. But they could not get the equalizer and their rally fell just short.
