Anthony Carite had a hat trick, including two goals in the third period as St Joe’s won the JVB title with a 6-3 win over Mainland. Mainland led 2-1 after the first period on goals by Ron Garofalo sandwiched around one by Kevin Troy. Carite scored the only goal of the second period to send the game tied at 2-2 into the third period. Collin Oncay scored an unassisted goal midway through the period to give St Joe’s a 3-2 lead.

But ninety seconds later Mainland would tie the score at 3-3 on a goal by Jake Graziotto. Just about one minute later, Carite would score the game winner on the power play with Tristan Ridarelli and Troy getting the helpers. And two minutes later, Carite again on the power play gave St Joe’s some breathing room at 5-3. Luca Ceraso scored for St Joe’s in the closing seconds to finish out the scoring. Congratulations to Coach Mento Jr. on the title.
