Robert Pendrod had three goals and two assists and Anthony Dellerose had two goals and three assists as Clearview pulled away from Black Horse 7-4 in the opening round of the SJHSHL double elimination tournament at Voorhees on Monday evening Zachary Faust led Black Horse with a hat trick. Chris Kilcourse scored the only goal of the first period to give Black Horse a 1-0 lead. Faust made it 2-0 in the opening minute of the second period, but one minute later Eric Lauk got Clearview on the board to make it 2-1. Faust would get his second of the night thirty seconds later and Black Horse had a 3-1 advantage. Penrod would get his first of the night at the ten minute mark to get Clearview to within 3-2.

Three minutes later Nick Ramos would score a power play goal to tie the score at 3-3. Faust scored an unassisted goal with one minute left in the period, his third of the night and Black Horse had a 4-3 lead. Dellerose would tie the game at 4-4 with a goal in the final twenty-two seconds. The third period was a tight checking game until with just under six minutes left Dellerose scored a power play goal to give Clearview a 5-4 lead, after killing off a penalty, Clearview made it 6-4 as Penrod got his second of the night and some breathing room. Penrod completed his hat trick with just over one minute left and Clearview would win 7-4.
