Maxim Kuznetsov and Conor Riley scored two goals each as Eastern defeated Lower Cape May 7-4 to stay alive in the SJHSHL double elimination tournament. Lower Cape had its season come to an end with the loss. Cole Blackley and Colin Donahue each scored twice for Lower Cape. The teams traded goals in the first period with Riley giving Eastern a 1-0 lead five minutes into the game and Donahue tying the game in the final minute of the period, this one coming on the power play.

Rory O’Hara and Kuznetsov would give Eastern a 3-1 lead midway through the second period; Donahue would score an unassisted goal at the nine minute mark to cut the lead to 3-2. Less than one minute later Kuznetsov would score his second of the night to restore the two goal lead at 4-2. Once again Lower Cape scored a power play goal late in the period to make it 4-3 after two periods.

Riley and Joe Arlotta scored in the third to push the lead to 6-3, Blackley would get his second of the nigh to make it 6-4 with less than three minutes remaining, but Timothy Jo would ice the game in the final minute as Eastern lived to play another game.
