Jeremy Ambrose scored two goals and Matt Bidini stopped 24 shots as Cherokee defeated Black Horse 5-3 in Tier I action played at Voorhees. The loss eliminated Black Horse from the playoffs. Ambrose scored the only goal of the first period, this one coming short-handed early in the period. Ambrose made it 2-0 scoring in the opening minute of the second period. Black Horse cut the deficit to 2-1 as Matthew Meldrum scored at the twelve minute mark. Max Zeligson scored just over one minute later for the Chiefs and the lead was 3-1 after two periods. Jared Savidge would connect for his first goal of the season for Black Horse six minutes into the third period and it was 3-2.

Nick Campbell restored the two goal lead for Cherokee, equaling his regular season total and the Chiefs had some breathing room at 4-2. With just over two minutes left in the game Kyle Ringhesier got Black Horse to 4-3 as he scored to give Black Horse some life. But Anthony Salvatore ended any hopes of OT scoring an empty net goal in the final seconds to ice the game for Cherokee.
