Cherry Hill East defeated Shawnee 3-1 in Tier II action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees and moved one point ahead of Shawnee and into second place in the division. East was on their game offensively, launching 30 shots at Shawnee net minder Shay Perry, who was on his game and kept Shawnee in the game. Mike Cottone gave East a 1-0 lead just 3 minutes into the game getting his first goal of the season in just his second Varsity game. Kyle Hill scored a power play goal with just over five minutes left in the period to put East up 2-0. Evan Glenn would send in Ryley Bergeson on a breakaway in the closing minutes to put Shawnee back in the game at 2-1.

After a scoreless second period John Pearson would rip a shot from the circle into the top shelf to give East some breathing room with just over five minutes left in the game and Shawnee would get no closer.
