Trailing 4-2 after two periods, Black Horse scored four third period goals and hung on to defeat Williamstown 6-5 as Zachary Faust scored four goals to make sure senior night was a success for Black Horse. The four goals give Faust a league high of 43 on the season and he has surpassed 100 points for his 3 year career. Faust scored the first two goals of the game as Black Horse led 2-0 with just over five minutes left in the period. Dennis Campbell would connect on the power play in the final minute to cut the lead to 2-1. Drew Murtha would take over the second period as he would score a natural hat trick to give the Braves a 4-2 lead. First he scored on a breakaway four minutes into the period.
Then Murtha would score two power play goals in a five minute span with the second one coming on a perfect cross-ice pass from Enrique Espinosa and Williamstown took a 4-2 lead into the third period. Zack Kelly would score on the power play for Black Horse just two minutes in and the lead was just 4-3. Faust would tie the score at 4-4 just four minutes later on a nice pass from Matt Meldrum. On his next shift Faust would put Black Horse up 5-4 again from Meldrum and with seven minutes left Black Horse had the lead. Kelly would get his second of the night on the power play on a shot from the point and a 6-4 lead. Seconds later Espinosa would cut the lead to 6-5, but the Braves could not get the equalizer.
Notes: Faust in just three seasons has scored 75 goals with 31 assists for 106 points, very impressive numbers in just three seasons.
