Zachary Faust had a hat trick, his third goal coming in overtime to give Black Horse a 6-5 win over Kingsway in playoff action played in Voorhees. Kingsway had rallied to tie the game at 5-5 on a goal by Matt Kudless with less than one minute remaining in regulation. The teams traded goals in the first period with Mike Moss and Vinny Salerno scoring for Kingsway and Faust and Jake McDonald getting the Black Horse goals.
After Matt Owens scored an unassisted goal early in the second period to give Kingsway a 3-2 lead, Black Horse would score three unanswered goals as Faust, McDonald and Brad Brodzik connected to put Black Horse up 5-3. Salerno would get a power play goal late in the period to cut the deficit to 5-4. We would stay that way until Kudless tied it at 5-5. That set the stage for Faust, who would score in the first OT with just two minutes left.
