Cherokee was down 2-0 late in the first period and Washington Township was on the power play with an opportunity to go up by three goals, but Joshua Aubrey would score a short-handed goal to pull the Chiefs to within 2-1 and they would go on to defeat Washington Township 4-2 in JVA action played at Voorhees. Michael Andes would assist on Aubrey’s goal and then early into the second period Aubrey would return the favor assisting on Andes tying goal just one minute in. Michael Klemm would put the Chiefs up 3-2 with Andes once again getting the assist. 

Township would get an opportunity on the power play at the ten minute mark, but goalie Matthew Stepnowski would not give up a goal. Early in the third period once again Township had an opportunity to get the equalizer but Stepnowski and good defense kept Township off the board. Justin Sroczyk would score into the empty net to ice the game in the final seconds.
