With the game tied at 3-3 after two periods Cherokee JVA squad scored three goals in the final five minutes to pull away from Washington Township for a 6-3 victory in action played on Sunday night. Six different players scored for the Chiefs as they improved to 9-6-1 on the season. The teams traded early goals in the opening period with Township taking a 1-0 lead on a goal by Kyle McGarvey just over ninety seconds into the game. Just about thirty seconds later Cherokee would tie the score at 1-1 on a goal by Connor Ray. Nick Cimorelli would connect on the power play at the four minute mark to give Township a 2-1 lead but the Chiefs would get a goal from Brandon Garber to tie the game at 2-2 heading into the second period.

Michael Andes gave the Chiefs their first lead; late in the second period scoring a short-handed goal but Township, still on the power play would tie the score at 3-3 fifty seconds later. Andes and Garber would set-up the eventual game winner with less than five minutes left in the game as Matt Hall would score to give the Chiefs the lead for good at 4-3. Goals by Connor Ryan and Nick Young closed out the scoring.
