Vinny Salerno scored on the power play early in the third period to snap a 1-1 game and Kingsway went on to upset Moorestown 3-1 in the NJ/DE Flyers cup. With the win Kingsway will meet Salesianum in the semi-finals. After a scoreless first period, Kevin Hillman scored twenty three seconds into the second period as he beat Mark Higginbotham down low. That would be the only goal Higginbotham would surrender. Just seventeen seconds later JJ Fogelman, on a pass from Corey Owens, blasted a shot from the point and into the net to tie the game at 1-1.

Kingsway would have two opportunities on the power play later in the period, but failed to capitalize. They did take advantage early in the third period with Salerno getting the goal from the right circle, Joe Bene and Ryan DeAngelis assisting and Kingsway led 2-1. Jason Player gave Kingsway a two goal lead, scoring with just over five minutes remaining in regulation and despite Moorestown pulling the goalie in the final two minutes, Higginbotham was able to close the door and help Kingsway advance.
