Ross Higgins stopped all 17 shots and Thomas Rockey’s power play goal in the second period stood up as Clearview defeated Mainland 1-0 in the opening round playoff game for the View. After a scoreless first period, Clearview went on the power play the opening minute of the second period and Rockey wasted little time in giving the View a 1-0 lead. Higgins was tested at the five minute mark as Mainland would have a two man advantage for just over one minute but could not get one by Higgins.

Later in the period Mainland would have another opportunity on the power play but Higgins kept them off the board and Clearview would think defense first in the third period and the View would move on with the 1-0 victory.
